Introduction
This post is a continuation of my Turkey itinerary where I discuss 3 fantastic hotels to stay in Turkey with my honest reviews, where they are and more.
I’ve been doing a few posts with hotel reviews one in Albania, Paris and even how to find the best hotels while travelling. I’ve even gone as far as suggesting a list of hotels you should stay at if you’re ever in Morocco, which you can read – The 6 Best Hotels to Stay in Morocco.
Choosing the right hotel matters. Like really matters. It’s were you lay your head after a long busy day after doing a market food tour, a cooking class and even a historical tour. You don’t want to spend a long day touring a country, depleting your social battery to come back to a hotel and it not be comfortable and up to your standard.
After buying my first property, I just knew that I would always have to stay in a nice place and if you’ve been to my place you would totally understand where I am coming from. In the case of Turkey after staying in these 3 fantastic hotels. I knew I just had to share them with you today. So if you are looking for the best hotels in Turkey or just where to stay in Cappadocia, Istanbul etc. I have got you, in this post I will be reviewing and sharing my own insights on each of the 3 fantastics hotels to stay in Turkey.
It’s worth noting that travelling between these destinations required internal flights, so I recommend planning your route carefully. I’ve covered this in more detail in my full Turkey travel guide, which I’ll link below.

Royan Hotel Hagia Sophia, Istanbul
The Royan Hotel Hagia Sophia because was my first destination for two nights because I wanted to be right in the heart of Istanbul’s historic centre and I really was. Everything from this hotel is walking distance from restaurants and key landmarks.
What I loved most about staying here was how easy it made sightseeing. Being able to walk to the Hagia Sophia, explore nearby streets, and pop into cafés and restaurants without constantly relying on transport made the experience feel relaxed and immersive.
The room itself was comfortable, clean, and well designed exactly what you would want after a long day of exploring such a busy city. It felt like a calm retreat from the crowds outside.
I’d especially recommend this hotel if you’re:
- Visiting Istanbul for the first time
- Travelling solo
- Looking for a central, walkable base
- A Black women travelling and want somewhere that is safe and well-located.
Kassandra Boutique Hotel, Fethiye (Ölüdeniz)
After the energy of Istanbul, we took a flight to Fethiye and absolutely loved it. I wanted something much slower after being in Istanbul for a few days and Kassandra Boutique Hotel was exactly that. The hotel has a more chilled, boutique feel and is walking distance from the beach in Ölüdeniz.
The design was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxed, and breakfast was genuinely one of the highlights for me. It was the kind of place where mornings felt unhurried and evenings were quiet perfect if you’re looking to slow down.
This hotel is best suited for:
- Couples
- Friends travelling together
- Slow travellers who enjoy beach towns
- Anyone wanting a break from city energy.
Seki Cave Hotel, Cappadocia
Now if you are looking for where to stay in Cappadocia then I have go you. I have always wanted to go to Cappadocia. It was our last stop on the Turkey trip and seemed like it was always going to be special staying in a cave hotel. I chose Seki Cave Hotel specifically for the rooftop jacuzzi, views, and overall experience and it absolutely delivered. If you wake up early you can see the hot air ballons from the rooftop and it is truly stunning.
Cave hotels are very different from you everyday typical standard hotels, the rooms feel unique, naturally cool, and incredibly atmospheric. Waking up in that setting, especially in a place like Cappadocia, added a completely different layer to the trip.
While cave hotels may not be for everyone, if you’re looking for something memorable and out of the ordinary, this is exactly the kind of stay that stays with you long after you leave.
I’d recommend this hotel if you’re:
- Travelling solo and want quiet reflection time
- Planning a romantic getaway
- Looking for a once in a lifetime stay

And there you have it hotels to stay in Turkey. I would personal say the best hotels in Turkey if you are ever going. Each of these hotels suited a different part of the journey and that’s exactly what I needed and enjoyed them all.
If you ever ask yourself where to stay in Turkey. You have to think like this. Istanbul is needed for convenience and location, Fethiye called for calm and comfort, and Cappadocia deserved something unforgettable.
If I had to choose one I’d return to, it would come down to why I was travelling and that’s the point. The “best” hotel is always the one that fits the moment you’re in.
