My Story

I’m Debs, a diplomat, cultural strategist, and storyteller exploring the intersections of identity, soft power, and global Black womanhood.

Through My Breaking Views (MBV), I document how travel, policy, and cultural exchange shape narratives that influence how we see the world and how the world sees us. Drawing on my experience in international affairs and sustainable development, this platform serves as a lens for those who care about global impact, representation, and meaningful cross-cultural connection.

10 Years+ Experiences

I have been travelling for over 10 years and having been blogging for nearly 10+ years . I have also lived on three continents (Europe, Asia and Africa) so I really do know about travel.

I have a passion for travel & food

I genuinely believe that travelling the world is essential to learn about ourselves and challenging our perspectives. Travelling for food brings joy to people for connection. I love to taste new dishes from around the world and enjoy cooking meals from different parts of the world.

I currently live in the UK but grew up in a small village called Wroughton. When I am not travelling, you'd probably see me enjoying a girl's night in, cooking a hearty meal or taking trips to the theatre.

I believe in helping people travel and explore the world. I only hope my travels and food will encourage others to travel and say yes to exploring the world while tasting new food and seeing the world.
