Where to clothes shop for your holidays…

By Posted on 2 108

I can’t remember the last time I shopped for my holidays. Can you?

In a few weeks, a few countries are now opening their borders and we will be able to start travelling again. I have been meaning to write a post on holiday shopping for a while (as requested). Please see below a list of retailers where you can shop for your holidays.

Pretty Little Thing

I like Pretty Little Thing (PLT). The clothes are reasonable and if you’re like me – don’t like wearing the same thing too many times (I am trying to grow out of that habit) then it’s a good place to shop. They also have the next day delivery so when I am shopping for a holiday, I usually bulk buy a load of holiday clothes.

The only thing with PLT is that their prices reflect their quality sometimes. When I was at Coachella (2018), I went crazy with PLT and bought into their festival wear, wore a pair of their shorts and can you believe they broke on me!

Zara

I do love me some Zara. My friend has always said if you’re not a big fan of big labels – Zara is the place for you. Zara has pretty good quality and their sales! Let’s just say the sales are on another level.

The only thing I dislike about Zara is their website. The models are always bending all over the place so I find it difficult to see the full outfit properly. I would say the website, in general, is not overall friendly.

Oasis/ Warehouse

If you like lots of floral prints and bright bold colours this is the place for you. Anytime I get a chance to shop in Oasis or Warehouse I am so excited. I put these two retail shops together because, for me, they are quite similar. Another good thing about this place is that they have a good website which is presented with good modelling.

My problem with these shops they don’t seem to have any of retail shops anywhere close to other retail stores.

N.B Both Oasis and Warehouse are currently rebranding.

Primark

I know there may be some people that might read this and turn the nose up! haha! But honestly, I do love a good old buy at Primark AKA as P-Unit. I like Primak for basics, you know vest, socks etc. And to be honest with you they do have a few stylish items of clothing. As I mentioned before if you are someone that doesn’t like wearing the same thing twice and you want to shop for your holiday. Primark is the place to go – the clothes are very reasonable too!

The thing I can’t stand about Primark is that the shop is a complete mess! It is like sitting in a teenager’s messy room! To avoid the mess I usually write a list of things I want to buy and go at the crack of dawn when everything is nicely folded.

ASOS

Asos saved me for my only holiday shop I was able to do this year! Hahaha! Asos has such a great selection of clothing and they even collaborate with so many other brands that you can select from. They also have a tool that allows you to be notified when an item has been restoked. It’s how I got my ski-clothing!

Only think about ASOS is they only are online! I would love for them to have an actual store.

ISawItFirst

I recently stumbled onto ISAWITFIRST on my holiday shopping last year and decided to buy a few items. Again, another reasonable online store for holiday shopping.

I can’t say much about them as I have purchased a few bits and bobs. However, what I will say is, they don’t seem to have a huge selection to choose from it all looks to me like it is tailored for college students – sorry!

And there you have it a few places to shop for your holidays. I am always discovering new retailers to shop for my holidays, so do regularly check back for updates.

It’s time we start getting ready to shop for our holidays…. do you have any plans to shop for a holiday. What about yourselves where do you enjoy shopping for your holidays?

Where Dreams Come True: My Experience at Disneyland Paris

Although I’ve done Disneyland in Tokyo, I still had an urge to do Disneyland in Paris. I love all things Disney like and I thought the best time and only time to go ahead and act like a BIG KID was my BIRTHDAY!

I had also seen Michelle Travels go to Disneyland and it looked absolutely amazing!

Did Disneyland live up to my expectations?

Course, it did! Disneyland in Paris is very different from Disneyland in Tokyo. I went to Disneyland in Paris during the day and Disneyland Tokyo in the evening so they made a huge difference.

When you walk into the park, you get a real sense beautiful warmth of positivity. This is a fantastic feeling to have on your birthday.

As it was my birthday, I was allowed to choose which park we went too. I prefered the park with the castle. We got there around 4.30 pm. There are a number of shuttle buses for the parks (which are free). We got there in good time for the parade, which I loved every single minute of it.

Welcome to Disneyland in Paris

Disneyland Paris consists of two parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Disneyland Park is the park everybody has heard of and should go to – it has the castle. Walt Disney Studios Park, on the other hand, has a more general moviemaking theme, but it’s still very Disney. Everything looked and felt terrific. I was dressed for the occasion as always – like Mickey Mouse.

These are so many attractions within the park, including the following:

  • Alice’s Curious Labyrinth
  • Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups
  • Sleeping Beauty’s Castle
  • Discovery Arcade. And more…

See below for the photos:

There are six Disney resorts in California, Florida, Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, and China with a total of twelve parks. These are Walt Disney World Resort (Florida) (Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Animal Kingdom) Disneyland Resort (California) (Disneyland, California Adventure)!

Have you ever been to Disneyland? Let me know in the comments below. If you follow me on my Instagram, you would have seen my video experience at Disneyland.

Still, have more questions? Wait a couple more days. I have a breakdown of how I went to Disneyland and Paris in just 3 days.

Turn Your ‘Birthday Into A Lifestyle With These Tips

Traditions can be a right drain, especially those that hinder your growth or those that you simply don’t enjoy. Every year my mother made an effort for my birthday- as kind as it was. It usually involved some sort of birthday party with people I didn’t like or care about. For that reason, I, in the past, have always hated celebrating my birthday. I would be forced to wear some fancy dress where I would be forced to sit and look pretty!

For my 21st I decided to change this tradition and celebrate my birthday travelling – the one thing I love doing!

Drake said it first, “Turn Your Birthday into a Lifestyle”. I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of Drake, but when Char from MemoirandMusing– mentioned the lyric to me I recognised I had already been doing it for 8 years! Yes, that’s right, since my 21st Birthday, I have made an effort to book a flight for my birthday. These are the countries I have been too so far:

Spain Age 22

I’m sure you already know that I spent my 28th Birthday this year at Disney Land Paris with le bae! See the pictures below:

I’ve always believed that you should always do things you enjoy for your birthday and I have recognised that travelling is something I love to do, so why not do it for my birthday? Since it’s my B-Day Week still ( BIG UP TO MY FELLOW VIRGO QUEENS AND KINGS!! ) I figured I’d share my top tips on how to turn your birthday into a lifestyle!

6 way on how to turn your birthday into a lifestyle

Plan ahead

And give your job notice that you’ll be taking your birthday off. Don’t! I repeat, don’t go to work on your birthday! You shouldn’t be going to work on your birthday! You should be catching a flight or already abroad. The only way to do this is by planning well ahead – I mention this in a previous blog post, particularly on my post – Make It A Habit To Visit A New Country Yearly.

You are supposed to enjoy yourself on your birthday! If you love your job then, by all means, go to work, but as a travel blogger doesn’t it make more sense spoiling yourself to a holiday on your birthday? Of course, so book that flight!

Splurge

Don’t be afraid to splurge it’s your birthday for crying out loud! Let your birthday be the one day a year when you’re allowed to partake in ONE thing that you’ve been saying no too.
Obviously, this won’t work if it’s a significant addition to something terrible, like alcohol or smoking, but sometimes this can work wonders. Allow someone to treat you to something beautiful or better yet treat your damn self!

Book that flight

As I said before, I have travelled every year for my birthday, and I tend to try and go somewhere new if I can! Well except this year and Nigeria – I mention this in a post where I write why It’s So Important To Visit/ Go Back Home

And it is easy to go away for your birthday! Even if it’s the only time, you travel in the year! Let it be for your birthday! It goes back to my first point, plan ahead = book your flight well ahead of your birthday, that way you have something to look forward to for your birthday.

Do what you want

I know I make a big fuss about travelling abroad for your birthday, but you honestly don’t have to! Do what you want to do for your birthday. Do you enjoy going to the spa? Or simply just not celebrating it all? Then do these things! You don’t have to do something to please others do it for yourself.

I can’t keep reminding you – that it’s your birthday you are entitled to do exactly what you want!

Sleep well the night before

I’m not one to share when I’m flying out, but this time I think I can as I’ve already flown out! I flew out two day’s before my birthday and knew that I was going to need all the rest I can get. My birthday is always abroad, and it usually involves lots of excitement, which can be extremely exhausting! So be sure to get some rest before your travels.

Try something new

Other than travelling, I must admit that I do enjoy a good meal. I love trying out new types of food the craziest I’ve tried is duck feet and shark! Not something I will be eating again, but I think on your birthday you should try something new.

So now I have shared my top tips on how to turn your birthday into a lifestyle. Tell me how do you plan to spend your next birthday?
