Introduction
Have you been thinking about your 2026 travel wishlist already? I have. But first woooow what a year it has been! First, I want to thank God for perfect discernment. This year I prayed for it, and I received it. I have to reflect on this perfect year the year of 2025. It was a year of unexpected blessings, personal growth, and beautiful journeys. I succeeded in more things that I could imagine. But I’m already ready to share my 2026 travel wishlist.
I am always intentional about where I travel. In middle of the year I had already started thinking about what countries I want to travel to in 2026.
Believe it or not. My travels aren’t just about ticking countries off a list they’re about connection, tasting, learning, and discovering myself through culture, food, and people.
Here is my 2026 Travel Wishlist. And if you stick to the end I have something that will help you with you 2026 travel wishlist too.
🇳🇦 Namibia
I’ve always wanted to go and explore the Namibia’s surreal desert landscapes, especially Sossusvlei and the Skeleton Coast. The German-African cultural blend carries so much history I’d love to dive into.
A friend once shared how she did a solo road trip across Namibia. It sounded so peaceful and reflective like the kind of trip that clears your head and resets your soul.

🇧🇷 Brazil
From Salvador’s Afro-Brazilian roots to Rio’s energy and food scene, Brazil has been top of my list for years. I want to go to the carnival! Wear a Brazilian Bikini LOL! Eat good food and immerse myself in a country that feels so alive yet so connected to the African diaspora story.

🇬🇪 Georgia
This under-the-radar gem keeps calling me. Maybe it’s the dramatic Caucasus mountains or the warm local culture. During my trip to Albania I was told by a group of girls that Georgia is a good destination to visit. It doesn’t take long for me to be convinced when it comes to travel.
Georgia feels like the perfect “reset” destination. I’m looking at flights now as we speak.
🇳🇬 Nigeria
If I can travel this big, wide world, I must make time to go home. I’ve believed that since 2013. Visiting Nigeria is more than a trip. For me it’s about family, familiarity, and remembering who you are.
I wrote about The Importance of Going Back Home: Nigeria, over 10 years later, I still mean every word.

🇫🇷 France
Cliché? Maybe. But I’ve been working hard on my French, and now that I’ve reached A2 level, it’s time to test it out in the real world. My French teacher recently told me about a Festival that happens every year. And now I would really like to go to the Fête de la Musique!
Who knows 2026 might the year I speak French in France!
🇱🇰 Sri Lanka
From tea plantations to quiet beaches, Sri Lanka feels like one of those culture-rich, calming places I want to savour. I’ve heard beautiful things about the food, the people, and the pace of life. I imagine it being a deeply soulful trip.
